In an attempt to better serve our customers Standing Bear's Trading Post conducts all ordering via phone, e-mail and at our store in Reseda, CA.

We are authorized distributors for many different leathercraft and Native craft suppliers. Items listed on our website are items we can get from these suppliers and may not be in stock at our store at all times.

People who do the "sheridan finish" on leather for coloring have for years used Neat Lac. This item is no longer be distributed by Tandy Leather Factory and is no longer available under the name Neat Lac.  If you are looking for an alternative for this product in order to create a "sheridan finish". please contact us and we will refer you to companies that will be able to assist you with this process.

Fiebing's Leathercolors™ Standing Bear's Trading Post now carries Fiebing's Leathercolors™ which is a  low VOC leather dye formulation that works as easily and effectively as traditional penetrating leather dyes. This dye works well on vegtable tanned tooling leather as well as gourds. This leather dye emits less Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) into the air making it better for the environment and makes it compatible with the new California VOC laws which removed many dyes from the shelves of California Leathercraft Stores. Fiebing’s Leathercolors™ are available in 10 colors for shipment, these dyes are great for leatherwork as well as gourd crafts. The colors these dyes are available in include: Black, Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown, Chocolate, Saddle Tan, Cordovan, Mahogany, Red, & Royal Blue. Leathercraft Finishes ~ Leather Finishes

Fiebing’s Leather Balm with Atom Wax   2180-00 4 oz. Get a mellow finish by working in evenly, allowing to dry and buffing with a soft cloth. Protects dyed and antiqued leather. For use on veg tan tooling leather leather only. Neutral color.

Fiebing’s Tan Kote    2220-01 4 oz Provides a protective, moisture resistant, rich mellow finish. May be used over Antique Finish or on natural leather. Apply with #3445-00 Wool Daubers.
