Craftaids® - Craftaid Leather Template - Craftaids Leathercraft Patterns Craftaid reusable leather templates are the easiest way to transfer leather craft patterns onto tooling leather. The raised design imprints the leathercraft pattern into damp leather. Included is a photocarve diagram showing the tools and techniques used for best results. Increase your carving skill – whether for pleasure, production or profit. These clear templates with raised ridges allow you to reproduce carving patterns as they were originally drawn by the artist. 1: Place the template you want to transfer face down directly onto the cased (moistened) leather. Hold your Craftaid in place so it doesn't slip and create duplicate impressions ruining the project you are working on. 2: To impress the embossed design into the leather, use a small spoon or modeling spoon (an item we also sell here at Standing Bear’s.) Firmly rub the smooth side of the craftaid in all areas you want impressed on leather. 3: Your design is transferred. When you lift your Craftaid you should be able to see a clear design… and you can begin carving. Craftaids are sheets of clear plastic with several embossed or raised designs on them.
