The Purpose of The Leathercraft Guild is:
To promote interests in the art of leatherwork in it\\'s many forms.
To share information, techniques, and skills to further the interest in leatherworking and to share the history of modern leathercraft.

From the beginning, this leather craft guild was a success and has grown steadily in popularity since its inception.
Through the years many of the all-time greats in the field of leathercraft and leather design have been associated with The Leathercraft Guild…
Al Stohlman, Joey Smith, Lou Roth, Lad Haverty, Cliff Ketchem, Al Shelton, Christine Stanley, Ken Griffen and Robert Beard.

The public is invited free to view member displays

and demonstrations of the leathercraft artistry at our monthly meetings.
 

The Leathercraft Guild meets the third Sunday of each month from 1PM to 4PM
at Standing Bear\'s Trading Post   7624 Tampa Avenue Reseda, CA. 91335 

PLEASE PARK IN THE BACK OF THE COMPLEX 
and come in the back door as Standing Bear\\'s Trading Post is closed to the Public (Except those attending the meeting)
There are 2 Motorcycles parked at the back entrance

January

January 15th 2023 from 1PM to 4PM - 

February
 19th 2023 from 1PM to 4PM

May 21st 2023 from 1PM to 4PM
 
June 11th 2023 from 1PM to 4PM
This meeting is held on the 2nd Sunday instead of the 3rd Sunday
  of the month to allow our members to celebrate Father\\'s Day


July 16th 2023 from 1PM to 4PM

August 20th 2023 from 1PM to 4PM

September 17th 2023 from 1PM to 4PM

  October 15st 2023 from 1PM to 4PM

November 12th 2023 from 1PM to 4PM
This meeting is held on the 2nd Sunday instead of the 3rd Sunday
of the month due to the Owner of Standing Bear\\'s Trading Post being out of town
and unable to host the meeting on the 3rd Sunday.

December 10th 2023 from 1PM to 4PM 
Holiday Celebration Party Potluck and Gift Exchange
This meeting is held on the 2nd Sunday instead of the 3rd Sunday
of the month due to parking issues
because of other events in the complex.
 
When attending The Leathercraft Guild meetings you will be a part of exhibits and demonstration of the latest in the field of leathercraft. Whether you are looking for ideas tips and tricks in leathercraft designs, leatherwork techniques or the latest in leathercrafting tools, The Leathercraft Guild is a great resource for the beginning leathercrafter or the master leather carver as any leather guild should be.

A monthly newsletter is mailed to each member giving information on meetings, shows and other items of interest plus a new Carvin’ Corner.
Our guild is affiliated with the International Federation of Leather Guilds.
A show is held once a year from which leather artists all over the world compete.
This is a fun time as well as a chance to view all kinds of leatherwork and meet some of the master leather artists.
Small workshops are also held during this time that you may attend for a fee.
The “masters” in leathercrafting usually conduct these small workshops.


Dues to new members are determined by the quarter of the year in which application and dues are received:
Individuals  Family Members
$20.00 $30.00
When you join The Leathercraft Guild in October, November or December,
your dues pay through December 31st of the following year.
Annual due renewal is $20.00 for individuals,
and $30.00 for families per calendar year.
RENEWAL DUES ARE COLLECTED JANUARY 1st.
